The location of the discovery of the person involved in the attempted terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge has become known.

One of the suspects in the attempted terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge in April 2025 was discovered by law enforcement agencies in Pyatigorsk. This was reported by RIA Novosti on August 21.

The man was supposed to be the driver of a minibus packed with explosives in order to blow up the bridge.

According to the agency, the place where the security forces "led" the suspect was located near the city center, in the area of the bus station and multi-storey residential buildings. The federal highway R-217 Kavkaz runs nearby, connecting Stavropol with the regions of the North Caucasus.

The terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge was prevented by FSB officers on August 18. A Chevrolet Volt car packed with explosives passed through a number of countries. The department's staff promptly disclosed the terrorists' plans, defused the explosive device and detained all those involved in her presence in Russia. A criminal case has been opened.

Later, on August 30, in the village of Staronizhestebliyevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, accomplices of the Ukrainian special services were detained, who were transporting a car with explosives in a truck with the aim of blowing up the Crimean Bridge. The car was planned to be handed over to another driver, who was supposed to drive across the bridge and become a suicide bomber.
