Trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan is developing successfully, and Russian investments in the Kyrgyz Republic's economy are increasing. This was announced on August 14 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev.

"Despite the difficult external environment, our trade and economic cooperation is developing successfully. <...> Mutual trade is steadily growing, and Russian investments are increasing, which is very important, in the Kyrgyz economy," Mishustin said.

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation noted that more than 1,700 enterprises with Russian participation operate in Kyrgyzstan, which implement projects in industry, energy and digital technologies.

"We have a common goal — to create comfortable working conditions for joint ventures," Mishustin said.

The Russian Prime Minister added that the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund is working effectively. Thanks to its development, Moscow and Bishkek are implementing more than 3.5 thousand joint projects. According to Mishustin, the country pays special attention to small businesses and the creation of economic growth points in various regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia occupies one of the leading positions among the countries that invest in the Kyrgyz economy. Putin noted that relations between Moscow and Bishkek are successfully developing within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance.
