In March, Russians will traditionally celebrate International Women's Day. However, in 2025, an additional day of rest in connection with the holiday should not be expected, follows from the Rostrud calendar.

March 8th falls on a Saturday this year. Usually in such cases, the day off is postponed to the next working day, which is prescribed in Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, but the final decision is made by the government of the Russian Federation.

As a result, Russians will have an extra day off on June 13, the Friday after Russia Day. Thus, four consecutive weekends are planned for June: from the 12th to the 16th. This follows from the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 04.10.2024 No. 1335.

The next long weekend, in May, will be divided into two groups. Russians will celebrate May holidays from 1 to 4 May (Thursday to Sunday inclusive) and from 8 to 11 May (also from Thursday to Sunday inclusive).
