Witkoff returned to Oslo after talks with Putin in St. Petersburg
US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steven Witkoff has returned to Oslo after talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg. This was confirmed on October 21 by data from the flight tracking service Flightradar24.
The plane with the American special envoy on board took off from St. Petersburg airport today. The American delegation to Pulkovo was accompanied by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation Kirill Dmitriev.
The talks between the President of the Russian Federation and Witkoff took place on October 21 at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg. Within their framework, Washington invited Moscow to resume trilateral negotiations in the format of the Russian Federation — the United States — Ukraine. The issue of a possible meeting between Putin and Trump in China to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping was also discussed.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere announced earlier in the day that after completing talks with Putin, Witkoff plans to visit Oslo again, where he had met with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, the day before.
