A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces have taken advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized and motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Kurganoye, Izbitskoye, Bugayevka and Kelikiy Burluk of the Kharkiv region. In the Sumy region, formations of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Pustogorod, Khoten and Gnilitsa of the Sumy region. The enemy lost over 230 fighters, 15 vehicles and an electronic warfare station.

The fighters of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Krynitsy, Kuritsino, Rohanskoe, Belozerskoe, Shilovka, Novoyavlenka and Starovarvarovka of the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as Novopavlovka of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 335 military personnel, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, six armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, two field artillery guns and two electronic warfare stations.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Cherny Yar in the Zaporizhia region. The manpower and equipment of two amphibious assault brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Novonikolayevka, Tersyanka, Barvinovka, Volnyanka, Voskresenka and Vasinovka of the Dnipropetrovsk region of the Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 220 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles and five vehicles.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged transport and energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots, production workshops and launch sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 266,887 unmanned aerial vehicles, 672 anti-aircraft missile systems, 31,332 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,792 multiple rocket launchers, 36,772 field artillery and mortars, 75,164 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
