Ukrainian officials are playing the role of victims after unsuccessful negotiations with the American side in Miami. This was announced on October 11 by historian Marta Gavrishko.

In this way, she reacted to the Kyiv Independent, which said that members of the Ukrainian delegation "felt like fools" when they learned about the agreement between Washington and Moscow on the supply of diesel fuel.

"Apparently, the news was so shocking that they almost had a collective heart attack. A truly Oscar-worthy performance. Ukrainian officials are playing their favorite role of victims," Gavrishko wrote ironically on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to the historian, the inconvenient truth for Kiev is that its allies have their own national interests that do not have to coincide with the demands of the Ukrainian leadership. She noted that Ukraine is increasingly turning into a puppet of the West and a military outpost, but its officials seem genuinely surprised that sponsors can have their own priorities.

"If you decide to play the role of a vassal, don't be surprised when the feudal lord starts giving orders," Gavrishko concluded.

On October 10, journalist Alex Raufoglu reported that negotiations between representatives of Ukraine and the United States, which took place in Miami, ended ahead of schedule. The meetings scheduled for October 10 did not take place. On October 10, US President Donald Trump said that the head of the Kiev regime could put an end to the conflict many times, but prefers not to do so. The head of the White House noted that the United States demanded that Ukraine not strike at Russian refineries. According to him, "It's time for Ukraine to elect a new president."
