A vote on stripping Potap of the title of People's Artist failed in the parliament.

The Verkhovna Rada has failed to make a decision to deprive Ukrainian singer Alexei Potapenko (known under the pseudonym Potap) of the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. This was reported on September 17 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

During the meeting, 198 deputies voted for the imposition of sanctions against the contractor. However, this number of votes was not enough for the decision to enter into force.

According to the picture published by the publication, only one member of the rada opposed the initiative. At the same time, 90 people did not vote at all.

The demand to deprive Potap of the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine was put forward on August 30. The singer was accused of performing a duet with singer Nastya Kamenskikh and using the Russian language.
