PSB named a key condition for business development in a changing economy
Long-term planning helps businesses develop in a changing economic environment, but entrepreneurs need to be prepared to adjust their tactics depending on the situation, Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at the WEF-2026.
"Long—term planning is the most important aspect in business for understanding a strategic goal and evaluating possible scenarios. When a business has a clear development horizon, the current uncertainty does not negate the strategy, but becomes a factor that must be taken into account when choosing specific solutions," Podguzova said, speaking at the business breakfast "Time for Action: opportunities for increasing capital for businesses and private investors."
The meeting participants paid special attention to the development of the Far East. Podguzova noted the high investment potential of the region and spoke about the PSB's participation in infrastructure projects, including the construction of hotel complexes and the development of sports infrastructure in Primorye.
She called the creative economy another promising area, which includes not only traditional industries, but also artificial intelligence, Internet platforms, fashion and is becoming one of the drivers of economic development.
Podguzova also noted the importance of international relations for the business of the Far East. Vladivostok, she said, ranks third in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg in terms of international payments, reflecting the close cooperation of local entrepreneurs with foreign partners, primarily China.
