EkoNiva's net profit dropped by 88% in the first half of the year%
According to the results of the first half of 2026, the net profit of EkoNiva Group according to international financial reporting Standards (IFRS) amounted to 1.1 billion rubles, which is 88.3% less than in the same period a year earlier. This is stated in the company's message, which was reviewed by Izvestia on August 31.
The company attributed the drop in net profit to a decrease in revenue from the sale of raw milk and an increase in operating expenses.
In January–June, the group's sales revenue decreased year-on-year by 2.8%, to RUB 45.2 billion. The main reason was the decrease in prices for raw milk. The average selling price on a farm in Russia in the first half of the year was 41.25 rubles/kg excluding VAT compared to 47.31 rubles/kg a year earlier, according to Soyuzmolok data provided by EkoNiva. The group's total revenue decreased by 7.4% year-on-year, to 56.4 billion rubles.
At the same time, raw milk production in EkoNiva increased by 3% in physical weight, to 732.4 thousand tons, and by 4% in standard weight, to 813.2 thousand tons. The average number of cattle increased to 257.7 thousand heads from 251.3 thousand a year earlier.
EkoNiva Group is Russia's largest producer of raw milk. The holding company was founded in 1994 by entrepreneur Stefan Duerr. The company develops dairy farming, milk processing, crop production, breeding and seed production. By the end of 2025, the group's enterprises produced about 1.45 million tons of raw milk.
During a meeting with Novosibirsk Region Governor Andrey Travnikov on August 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a new milk processing plant, Siberian Academy of Dairy Sciences LLC, via video link. The Head of State also congratulated the owner Stefan Duerr — the company is part of the EkoNiva Group of Companies. Putin noted that the Dyurr has been effectively operating in Russia for a long time.
