Kravtsov spoke about the high proportion of high-scoring exam students from rural schools

In Russia, 65% of graduates who scored high on the Unified State Exam studied in schools located in rural areas. This was announced on August 29 by the head of the Ministry of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

"According to the results of the last Unified State Exam, <...> 65% of the high-scoring students, the guys who scored the maximum number of points, are not from specialized schools, but from such schools — from rural schools," he said at the opening of new educational facilities with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In addition, another 100 new schools and 150 kindergartens are planned to be built in the country by 2030. New educational institutions will be created in regions where there is a need for additional infrastructure. Kravtsov also noted that one of the tasks remains to bring all Russian schools to a standard state by 2030.

What other measures have been proposed to improve the training of engineers in Russia

On July 8, Kravtsov announced that in 2026 there will be a noticeable increase in the average score on the Unified State Exam in natural sciences. So, the indicator in mathematics increased by 4.3 points, and in physics — by 4.7 points. Citing such statistics, the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation clarified that the average score of the Unified State Exam as a whole is growing by two points annually.
