Footage of protests in Serbian Valjevo against the country's authorities has been published

An anti-government rally was held in the Serbian city of Valjevo to mark the anniversary of the clashes between protesters and police. Footage from the scene of the August 14 events was shown to Izvestia by journalist Sergey Petrov.

The action is timed to coincide with the events of August 14, 2025, when protesters clashed with law enforcement officers in the city. Students and residents from different regions of the country took to the streets of Valevo.

The protesters are holding flags, homemade banners and posters, and crowds of people have practically blocked traffic on the streets of the city.

On August 12, 2025, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. On August 13, it was reported that 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen. The actions covered the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on August 14 that protesters in Serbia had vandalized the office of the SPP during rallies. He also assured that the state would definitely do its job and suppress the protests.
