In China, a modified Long March-7 launch vehicle collapsed during satellite launch. This was reported by the Xinhua news Agency on August 10.

"The rocket was supposed to launch the Zhongxing-4B satellite into orbit. The launch took place at 20:02 (15:02 Moscow time) at the Wenchang cosmodrome in the island province of Hainan, but an emergency situation occurred during the flight," the publication says.

It is specified that the cosmodrome reported that specialists had clarified the cause of the accident.
