ArtMasters will hold master classes in theatrical art in Zaryadye Park

In Zaryadye Park, as part of the All-Russian Marathon Festival "Russia — Theater — Society", ArtMasters will present the educational laboratory "Theatrical Backstage: ArtMasters Workshop". The project's stand will be located in the lobby of the Protected Embassy. From August 1-9, the venue will host 20 interactive workshops dedicated to artistic design, sound, light, stage management, stage mechanics and digital technologies in the theater.

"The Zaryadye laboratory is a visual representation of the ArtMasters ecosystem in action. In the year of the 150th anniversary of the STD, we place special emphasis on the continuity of traditions and the introduction of innovations. Our workshop is a practical platform where the winners and experts of the championship will share real—world experience with the participants. The project aims to help novice professionals better understand the realities of the modern theater industry," said Borislav Volodin, Director of ANO ArtMasters.

The workshop's format is aimed at professionals, students, and anyone interested in the theater industry. The program of the educational laboratory includes the creation of a stage image using the example of makeup and body art, work with light drama, the sound environment of a performance without musical accompaniment, stage mechanics as part of theatrical action, the use of game techniques in the theater and creative promotional productions. In addition, a separate block of lectures will be devoted to the application of AI and copyright issues in theatrical practice.

"In the ArtMasters laboratory, everyone will be able not only to get acquainted with the theater and observe the creation of the performance, but also to try to apply theatrical makeup, set the lights, adjust the sound, assemble the elements of the scenery, and control the stage mechanics. When the viewer goes through this path himself, he begins to understand how much skill, work and talent is behind each production. This is the best way to get acquainted with theatrical professions," said Vladimir Mashkov, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The master classes will be conducted by the winners and experts of the National Open Championship of Creative Competencies "ArtMasters". The project is being implemented in the year of the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theatrical Figures of Russia and is dedicated to modern areas of theatrical production.

ArtMasters is a leading Russian platform that unites professionals from the creative industries of cinema, music, theater, and digital art. Since 2020, the ecosystem has been supporting talents through educational programs, grants, and collaborations. The ArtMasters National Open Championship is the main competition for creative industry professionals in Russia, including those in the field of backstage and digital art. The main theme of the VII season of the competition is "The power of Unity. The art that unites." The project forms a pool of highly qualified experts and contributes to the expansion of the creative cluster, which corresponds to the priorities of state policy in the field of the development of creative industries and human capital.

The competition is an important part of the ArtMasters ecosystem, bringing together creative industry professionals. Participants gain access to a large-scale opportunity platform that supports talents through educational programs, grants, and collaborations. All ArtMasters projects are open to new participants and specialists from Russia and other countries. The ecosystem was created to unlock the creative potential of everyone with the support of business, government and experts in the field of creative industries.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. Over the past 6 years, more than 160,000 people have participated in the championship, and this year over 30,000 people have applied for participation. More than 1,700 people became finalists of the project, and 489 people received cash prizes.

Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital, said that over 500,000 people used the multi-format spaces of the Moscow Youth project, where they can conduct free rehearsals, master classes, trainings, presentations and other events. There are three such spaces in Moscow — on Vernadsky Avenue, Izmailovsky Val Street and in Kholodny Lane. Currently, users are offered more than 20 platforms for the implementation of creative and educational projects.
