On July 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the head of Russian Railways (RZD) to Oleg Belozerov should not be forgotten about the miners who work in the Kemerovo region.

"Don't forget, don't forget the miners. I understand that the company must earn money and carry goods that bring profit, everything is clear," he said at the meeting.

The head of Russian Railways, in turn, assured the Russian leader that his request was being strictly implemented.

According to Belozerov, the company is currently seeing an increase in shipments along the North—South international transport corridor, in particular containers. A positive trend (+5.5%), he added, is observed in logistics relations with China, which are supported by the state. It is also visible in transportation with Belarus (+3%) and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. At the same time, the Russian side, the head of Russian Railways pointed out, is observing a decrease in the corresponding indicators among states that are unfriendly to it.

"Thank you very much for the decision on the Eastern Training Ground. All the initial targets, 180 million tons, have been confirmed, and they will be clearly fulfilled this year. <...> We are clearly fulfilling your instructions on coal export from Kemerovo," Belozerov concluded.

During the meeting, Belozerov also thanked Putin for the constant support that the state provides to all railway workers. The head of Russian Railways clarified that the government's attention to this area is a powerful factor in mobilizing the entire team.
