The Soviet and Latvian composer Raymond Pauls declared "damaged nerves" due to rumors about the cancellation of concerts. He announced this on July 30 in an interview with Izvestia.

"It turned out to be a newspaper duck," Pauls said, adding that the situation "got on his nerves."

In addition, the musician expressed his joy that the information turned out to be fake.

On July 28, Pauls denied reports of the end of his concert activities, specifying that he had taken a temporary break to improve his health. Pauls is 90 years old. People's Artist of the USSR is the author of music for many popular songs performed by Alla Pugacheva, Valery Leontiev, Laima Vaikule and other artists.
