Tsar's bricks were found during the reconstruction of the tram park in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, during the restoration of the Blokhinsky tram park, workers discovered royal bricks with the stamp of St. Petersburg manufactories. The park was founded in the 19th century as a Horse-drawn railway depot, and then it was converted into trams. This happened in 1908.

As noted by 78.ru , the park is a cultural heritage site. It is located on Bolshaya Posadkaya Street, and the history of urban electric transport is closely connected with it.

During the reconstruction, specialists will restore the facades and other elements of cultural heritage, including wrought-iron window frames and gate openings. In addition, it is planned to restore the red granite base.

Governor Alexander Beglov called it a difficult task that requires a lot of attention and skill, because due to the alterations, the facade has literally turned into a constructor of old and newer bricks.

Specialists will be engaged in the restoration of two of the four buildings of the tram fleet. One is used for repairing wagons, the other for washing trams. The work is expected to be completed in 2028 and 2029. At the same time, despite the location of the depot under repair in the city center, trams comply with the schedule of line exits.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg, the restoration of one of the most famous rooms, the Large Dining Room, has been completed in the Anichkov Palace. Every year, the famous "New Year's Trees" for children are held here.
