The updated mid-size crossover VGV U70 Plus is preparing to enter the Russian market. The brand's press service announced this in its Telegram channel on July 28.

It is stated that the updated VGV U70 Plus has improved dynamic characteristics, a modern turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection (GDI), a redesigned chassis and an improved suspension (rear — independent multi-link), as well as new braking mechanisms.

The company also noted that special materials and design solutions have reduced the noise level in the cabin. For the Russian market, the car received a reinforced anti-corrosion coating, as well as the possibility of refueling with Ai-92 gasoline, VGV representatives said. Other details about the car are not specified.

Externally, the VGV U70 Plus has not changed, but the interior has been redesigned. In particular, the multimedia system screen and the configuration of the center console have been changed.

According to the brand's website, the VGV U70 Plus is currently offered in five- and seven-seat versions, with prices ranging from 3 million to 3.2 million rubles, depending on the configuration (excluding discounts). A 199-horsepower two-liter turbo engine is installed under the hood, which works with an eight-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive. The model entered the Russian market in the fall of 2024.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the production of a full-cycle all-wheel drive version of the Jeland J6 crossover had started at the AGR holding plant in St. Petersburg.
