Avatr car brand sets new sales record in Russia

Last week, 155 new Avatr electric vehicles were registered in Russia. For this Chinese brand, this result became another weekly record in the Russian market. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on July 28.

As the analyst noted, the Avatr brand has become "one of the main beneficiaries" of temporary disruptions in fuel supplies. Over the past four weeks (from June 29 to July 26), 442 Russians have become owners of new cars of the brand. At the same time, for all the previous 26 weeks of this year, Avatr dealers sold only 418 cars, the expert said.

Avatr electric vehicles began appearing in Russia in the spring of 2023, with official sales starting in January 2025. For all the time, a little more than 3 thousand cars of this brand have been registered in the Russian Federation.

Tselikov also pointed out that while Avatr became the best—selling brand of electric cars in the Russian Federation last week, sales of UMO electric cars declined sharply - 42 copies against 151 a week earlier. He suggested that dealers were running out of such cars, and noted that earlier, electric cars from Evolute had almost run out in car dealerships.
