Conor McGregor announced his last fight in 2027
The former champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) in two weight categories, Conor McGregor, promised to hold the "last dance" in 2027. He announced this on July 28 on the social network Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

Conor McGregor's previous fight took place on July 11 at UFC 329 against Max Holloway. The Irishman returned to the octagon after a five-year break, but in the first minute he suffered a knee injury due to an unsuccessful landing after a flying circular kick. The fight ended in the first round with a technical knockout.
On July 25, Russian fighter Magomed Ankalaev scored an early victory over the representative of Uzbekistan Bogdan Guskov in the main match of the UFC Fight Night 282 light heavyweight tournament, held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
