Putin: bolder actions on the battlefield have their risks
On July 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking to deputies of the State Duma of the VIII convocation, commented on the proposal to act "boldly" during the fighting, pointing out the associated risks and the need to protect personnel.
During the event, the head of state presented state awards to the parliamentarians. During the ceremony, one of the participants appealed to the president to step up the pressure.
"During the award ceremony, one of the awardees whispered to me: "We will win, we need to be more courageous. I really want to." But the question arises — is it even bolder?" Putin retold the conversation, addressing the audience.
The Russian leader stressed that any decisions in the military sphere require a balanced approach, comparable to the management of economic processes.
"Here, as well as in the economy, there are risks, the price of which is losses on the battlefield on our part. Therefore, we will also act carefully here, but persistently and consistently achieving the goals set for the country. And we will achieve them," the president concluded.
The deputies greeted the words of the head of state with applause. Putin stressed that accuracy in actions does not mean abandoning plans, and expressed confidence in the final success.
The day before, Putin said that he did not doubt for a second that the special military operation would end with Russia's victory. The Head of State also noted the unity of the Russian people, emphasizing the importance of preserving this quality after the completion of his military education.
