Peskov announced Putin's trip to Omsk after visiting Irkutsk

After a working trip to Irkutsk, Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to Omsk, where an event with the participation of Kazakhstan is planned. This was announced on July 24 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"In continuation of the topic, it was decided to stop in Irkutsk before Omsk, where an event with Kazakhstan is planned," Peskov's statement is quoted by RIA Novosti.

On Friday, the Russian leader visited the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. As the Kremlin representative explained, the trip to the enterprise was a continuation of the meeting on the development of the aviation industry, which had previously been held in the Moscow region.

During a meeting on the development of the aviation industry on June 24, Putin stressed that Russia is one of the four countries that are fully capable of producing aircraft engines on their own. The Head of State noted that despite the shift of almost two years due to the sanctions of unfriendly countries, the MC-21 program was successfully implemented.
