The Ministry of Energy announced measures to saturate the fuel market in the regions

The Ministry of Energy, together with the subjects of the Russian Federation, government departments and oil companies, implements measures within the framework of regular regional headquarters to provide the domestic market with the necessary volumes of petroleum products, based on the needs of each region. The agency announced this on July 24.

The provision of developed solutions and recommendations is the responsibility of the regional authorities. Based on the current situation, temporary restrictive measures may be introduced in the regions aimed at providing citizens and businesses with motor fuel in the most effective way. The volume and order of fuel sales at gas stations is determined by the management of the subjects independently.

The Ministry of Energy pays special attention to the uninterrupted supply of state and municipal services, including the Ministry of Emergency Situations and doctors. Agricultural producers are also included in the priority category of fuel supply.

"In a number of regions, we note a stabilization of the fuel supply situation — an increase in the number of gas stations operating and a reduction in queues. The Zabaykalsky Krai, Kaliningrad and Irkutsk regions, Kuban and Tatarstan demonstrate positive dynamics. The fuel market in the Arkhangelsk and Saratov regions is normalizing," said Sergey Tsivilev, Minister of Energy.

He also stressed that the ban on the export of petroleum products contributed to the result. The situation was also affected by decisions to ensure fuel imports and achieve maximum utilization of refining capacities.

"The Ministry of Energy will continue to work with the regions to meet their needs for petroleum products," stressed the head of the Ministry of Energy.
