Kotyakov noted a record low in unemployment in Russia

The unemployment rate in Russia has reached its lowest level in the entire history of observations. This was announced on July 24 by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.

"The unemployment rate, <...> according to the latest data from Rosstat, is 2.1%," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The corresponding indicator was contained in the Rosstat report dated July 1. It was noted that the indicator was calculated without excluding the seasonal factor. In April 2026, the unemployment rate in the country was 2.2%.

Maxim Reshetnikov, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, said on June 30 that the unemployment rate in Russia then reached extremely low levels.
