A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops liberated the village of Artelnoye in the Kharkiv region. In addition, the Southern Group of Troops improved the tactical situation and defeated the Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Slavyansk, Malotaranovka, Kramatorsk, Nikolaevka and Druzhkovka of the DPR. During the day, the enemy lost more than 140 fighters.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the settlement of Blagodatnoye in the Zaporizhia region.
The manpower and equipment of the mechanized, amphibious assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region, <...>...> Zaporozhye region. The enemy lost up to 380 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated two launchers of the Neptun coastal missile system, logistics centers, long-range drone production facilities, fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 152 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down nine guided aerial bombs and 808 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 186,998 UAVs, 667 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,252 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,765 multiple rocket launchers, 35,857 field artillery and mortars, 67,140 pieces of special vehicles.
