Ivanovskaya noted that the teacher had received a complaint from the parents of one of the students. After an inspection at the school, the fact was confirmed. An administrative report was drawn up against the teacher, after which she paid a fine of 3,400 hryvnias (about 6,000 rubles).

Ivanovska stated that the teacher violated the requirements of Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language." The representative of the Ombudsman, Igor Spirdonov, noted that the duty of teachers is to ensure the education of schoolchildren in the state language.
