Dmitry Sadovnikov was elected head of Yakutsk
Dmitry Sadovnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Yakutia, was elected mayor of the capital of the republic by deputies. This was reported on July 20 in the press service of the Yakutsk City Duma.
"Dmitry Sadovnikov has been elected head of the Yakutsk city district. Following an open vote, the decision was made by a majority vote of the deputies of the Yakutsk City Duma who attended the meeting. 23 out of 25 deputies voted for him," the message on the Maks messenger says.
Previously, this position was held by Evgeny Grigoriev. The term of office of the mayor of Yakutsk is five years.
On July 16, the Yakutsk City Duma reported that Grigoriev had submitted an application for early retirement. It was clarified that Grigoriev had submitted an application on his own.
