12 people were evacuated from Lake Ladoga in the Leningrad region.

A group of 14 people who went out by boat from Priozerskaya on the Tikhaya River was blown by a strong wind into the waters of Lake Ladoga. This was announced on July 19 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Leningrad region.

"A group of 14 people, including five children, went out by boat from Priozersk along the Tikhaya River, but due to strong winds they were swept into the waters of Lake Ladoga," the message in the Maks messenger says.

It is specified that rescuers found and evacuated 12 people, the fate of two more remains unknown.

According to the agency, at the moment three children are already in the village of Berezovo. Two more people, including one child, were taken to Priozersk. Seven people, including a child, remain on the island of Selkamariansaari, where they are awaiting evacuation.

On July 15, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Dagestan reported that a teenager drowned while swimming in the Caspian Sea in Dagestan. It was clarified that as part of the inspection, the prosecutor's office would establish all the circumstances of the incident and assess whether the requirements of legislation on the protection of minors' rights and safety at water facilities had been met.
