Lipetsk pensioner was admitted to intensive care after cooking kebabs

In Lipetsk, a 65-year-old pensioner ended up in intensive care after suffering severe burns while cooking kebabs in his country. The man caught fire, adding liquid to the fire for ignition. At the same time, he was in a sober state.

GOROD48, citing Ilya Kopylov, head of the burn department at Lipetsk City Hospital No. 3 Svobodny Sokol, writes that 18% of the victim's body was burned: face, neck, torso and arms.

In the Lipetsk region, this is not the first such case in this "barbecue" season. So, in May, a 34-year-old man was hospitalized with IV degree burns after he knocked over a barbecue.

Earlier, in April, a man was taken to the burn center who, while building a campfire in the country, accidentally poured ignition liquid over his hand and it caught fire. A few days later, inflammation began on my arm. Doctors diagnosed the patient with a grade IV burn and phlegmon, an acute diffuse purulent inflammation of the skin and cellular spaces caused by a bacterial infection.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations recalled the rules for the safe preparation of barbecue in the country. It is necessary to place the barbecue at a distance of at least 5 m from any buildings, 30 m from deciduous trees and shrubs, and from coniferous forests — no closer than 100 m.
