The United States opposed the offensive actions of Ukraine

The United States opposes the new offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), insisting on a defensive strategy. This was announced on July 5 by Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance.

"The administration of [US President Donald] Trump is inclined to believe that the Ukrainians, while we, of course, are negotiating, should simply defend themselves as much as possible," he said in an interview with The Times newspaper.
