- The Russian Foreign Ministry explained Kiev's refusal to take the bodies of soldiers from Konstantinovka
The Ukrainian authorities do not take the bodies of dead militants from Konstantinovka, so as not to destroy the image of their military achievements. This was announced on July 5 by Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik in his Telegram channel.
"In Kiev, they were afraid that the bodies of their dead soldiers would destroy the virtual image of their far—fetched "victories," the report says.
According to him, the Ukrainian side does not want to show real losses before the NATO summit, which is scheduled to take place in Ankara. Miroshnik added that the purpose of such actions is the desire of the Ukrainian leadership to receive financial assistance for future alleged successes on the battlefield.
