The French national team reached the 1/4 finals of the FIFA World Cup

The French national team beat the Paraguayan team 1-0 in the match of the 1/8 finals of the FIFA World Cup on June 4 in Philadelphia.

The only goal in the 70th minute of the match was scored by striker Kylian Mbappe, who successfully converted a penalty. As part of the Paraguayan national team, Dynamo Moscow defender Juan Caceres and former Krasnodar player Junior Alonso played the entire match on the field.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament, French football players will face the national team of Morocco. The game is scheduled for Thursday, July 9th.

Reaching the 1/4 finals was the fourth consecutive World Championship for the French national team. The last time the national team failed to overcome the group stage was in 2010.
