- Analyst Leonkov announced the cessation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensives as early as 2024
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) stopped trying to launch a counteroffensive back in 2024. This was announced on July 4 by military analyst Alexei Leonkov in an interview with Izvestia.
"Since 2024, Ukraine has practically not conducted any counteroffensive operations that could achieve serious results," the expert said.
Leonkov noted that the supply of heavy armored vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stopped, which complicates the conduct of hostilities. In addition, he pointed out that Kiev also lacks air defense systems. Moreover, the success of Russian air defense systems is reducing Ukraine's military reserves.
"The West cannot quickly replace the number of drones that we have destroyed, both in the skies that attacked our territories and in the places where these drones were assembled," Leonkov concluded.
Political scientist Ivan Mezyuho, in an interview with Izvestia on July 3, said that due to the inability to defeat Russia on the battlefield, Kiev is terrorizing civilians in Russian regions. He added that thanks to the daily feat of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the state continues to stand and develop.
On July 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting at the auxiliary control center of the united group of forces, stated that he had no doubts about the victory of the Russian Federation in a special military operation. He also instructed to do everything possible to protect civilians and civilian objects. In addition, the Russian leader said that he had instructed the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces to take all necessary measures to evacuate the civilian population from the special military operation zone.
