The Kiev regime, guided by the instructions of the West, continues to escalate the conflict and does not abandon attempts to involve Russia's closest allies in it. This was announced on July 1 during a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"In the same row are the desperate attempts of the Kiev regime to scale up the conflict, to involve our closest allies and neighbors in it, which they are not doing. Again, it is necessary for those who live according to NATO narratives, as they say," she said.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also pointed out that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, seeks to provoke an escalation of the conflict by carrying out terrorist attacks and attacks on civilian infrastructure and the population of Russia. According to her, the head of the Kiev regime is no longer hiding his true goals.

Zakharova also pointed out that the Kiev regime does not have political independence, but only, armed with Western weapons and money, continues the line set by its curators from the European Union and NATO. She concluded that the leaders of European states today recognize that Russia, represented by Ukraine, opposes the collective West and its military capabilities.

On June 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a speech at the United Russia party congress, said that the West was putting pressure on Russia because it could not defeat it on the battlefield. In addition, the President stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are retreating in all directions and are resorting to terrorist methods.

Meeting with the participants of the SVR in the Catherine Hall of the Kremlin on the occasion of the celebration of Russia Day on June 12, Putin noted that the country stands alone against the entire collective West in the form of NATO. The North Atlantic Alliance, as the Russian leader explained, is doing everything to organize hostile actions against the Russian Federation, and it was its members, not Russia, who unleashed the conflict.
