AvtoVAZ presents Lada Vesta with climate control and telematics

AvtoVAZ has started production of a new version of Lada Vesta, the car began to be equipped with an automatic climate control system and telematics. The company's press service told Izvestia about this on July 1.

The climate system differs from a conventional air conditioner in that it automatically maintains the set temperature in the cabin. It regulates the temperature and distributes the air flow by receiving signals from three sensors. As noted at AvtoVAZ, the system is calibrated so that the process of automatically adjusting the microclimate is smooth and minimally noticeable to the driver and passengers.

On the control panel of the climate system there are rotating handles, which display the temperature, flow direction and intensity of the system. The climate system indicators are duplicated on a 10-inch tablet with standard multimedia. All the main components of the climate system are supplied by Russian enterprises, the company stressed.

The Lada Connect Start telematics system, which works with the Lada World mobile application, allows the driver to remotely monitor the condition of the car, remotely monitor the fuel reserve, location of the car, engine temperature and battery level. The owner can also check through the app whether the doors and trunk are locked, and whether the engine is running. The system is one of the basic Lada Vesta options and is used in all trim levels.

The timing of the start of sales and the prices of Lada Vesta with new options are not specified. The model was equipped with climate control before, but after 2022 this option was lost. Last time AvtoVAZ upgraded the Vesta at the end of last year, the model received a remote engine start and keyless entry system.

Serial production of the updated Lada Niva Legend SUV will start on July 20. As noted on June 30, the updated classic Niva was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 3. In total, the car has more than 100 new and more than 60 upgraded parts and assemblies.
