Brussels leaves no chance for Ukraine to join the European Union (EU). This was announced on June 30 by the head of the German charity foundation "Peace Bridge — assistance to War Victims" Liane Kilincz.

"When the Ukrainian people finally realize that the only role assigned to them is to use them as cannon fodder in the fight against Russia. Ukraine has no chance of joining the EU," the activist said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

She stressed that even statements by European politicians expressing support for the Kiev regime do not change the situation. Kilinch also predicted a complete failure for the West in the confrontation with the Russian Federation, citing historical experience. The activist recalled that Russia had already managed to defeat fascism during the Great Patriotic War.

Euronews TV channel reported on June 22 that as part of the start of discussions on joining the EU, the ways of European integration of Moldova and Ukraine may diverge, although previously their applications were considered together. EC President Ursula von der Leyen noted on the same day that countries will independently take responsibility for themselves and for the reforms carried out for European integration.

Many EU member states consider Ukraine's simplified accession to the EU unacceptable due to problems with corruption and the influence of oligarchs, The Telegraph newspaper noted on June 24. Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, in an interview with the Polish TV channel TVP WORLD, said that Ukraine's accelerated accession to the European Union would allow member states to gain access to its natural resources.
