The Tagansky court of Moscow imposed a fine of 3.5 million rubles on Telegram.

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow imposed an administrative fine on Telegram Messenger Inc. in the amount of 3.5 million rubles. This was reported on June 29 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The court found the organization guilty of committing an offense under Part 2 of Article 13.50 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to perform duties by the owner of a social network").

On June 2, the Tagansky court imposed a fine on Telegram in the amount of 3 million 800 thousand rubles in connection with the failure to remove extremist content and information threatening minors. The court pointed out that the content threatening the safety of minors was discovered by Rosmolodezh employees, after which there was an appeal to Roskomnadzor.

Also on May 27, the Tagansky Court of the capital fined the Telegram messenger 7 million rubles for not deleting extremist content, and on May 12, it imposed administrative fines of 3.8 million rubles on the messenger. The company was found guilty of late deletion of information in accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation under Part 4 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
