Corporal Makarov shot down two UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the assault on enemy positions

Corporal Yevgeny Makarov, as part of the unit, provided fire support to assault units when the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) decided to attack with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Saturday, June 27.

Makarov noticed the approach of the drones, quickly took up a firing position and opened fire on the UAV with small arms. He managed to destroy two drones. As a result, the assault groups completed the task without loss of personnel.

The Ministry of Defense also noted the professionalism of junior Sergeant Andrei Filippov, who was carrying out the task of evacuating the wounded when he noticed approaching enemy UAVs.

Filippov decided to use the terrain to gain a comfortable firing position and opened fire on the drones. As a result, two FPV drones were destroyed.
