A powerful gas boiler house in Poronaysk will be commissioned by the end of the year

A new gas boiler house designed to replace the old coal-fired one will be put into operation in Poronaysk (Sakhalin Region) by the end of 2026. This is reported by the regional government.

According to a representative of the contractor, the total construction readiness of the facility has reached 85%, and the readiness of the block-modular boiler house itself is 98%. There are still commissioning works that are planned to be completed by the end of October.

In total, the boiler house will provide heat to 210 residential buildings housing 12.5 thousand people, nine schools and kindergartens, 132 facilities of federal, regional and local importance.

According to SakhalinMedia news agency, automated gas boiler house No. 1 will replace the old coal-fired one. After the facility is put into operation, scheduled for December, natural gas heat generation in Poronai district will be about 80%.
