- A motorcycle and a bicycle were raffled off at the second electrofestival in Moscow
On June 27, the capital hosted the second Electric Festival in the history of the city, dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. More than 5,000 fans of eco-friendly transport and modern technologies joined the event, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport and Industry.
The organizers have prepared an extensive thematic program within the framework of the festival, one of the main events was the parade of electric vehicles. The festival featured the stands of Energiya Moskvy, the Russian Table Tennis Federation, car exhibitions, the Mosgortrans driving school, Yandex Go, and Velobike. Rosatom State Corporation, the general partner, has opened interactive platforms for visitors. Anyone who wanted to use them could assemble electric cars, experiment with energy, or complete quests.
DJ Nejtrino and the artists of the Music in the Subway project performed for the festival audience, and visitors could also see a special show of stuntmen with a monowheel. One of the highlights of the program was the drawing of electric-powered vehicles. The winners received a motorcycle, bicycle and scooter to the applause of the guests of the celebration.
"According to the task of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop electric transport in the capital. Moscow is one of the leaders in this field. Its performance is ahead of many megacities in Europe and the United States," Liksutov said. He recalled that last year the first electrofestival aroused great interest and received positive feedback. Therefore, it was decided to repeat the event, the deputy mayor emphasized.
"We thank the participants, viewers, partners and city services for their help in organizing," Liksutov concluded.
