According to the German Ministry of Defense, by mid-June, a total of 298,200 questionnaires had been sent to young men and women to be filled out. For about 150,000 men, a survey is mandatory. Administrative restrictions will be considered for those who ignored the survey.

However, the newspaper notes that only 20% of the respondents expressed interest in serving. The rest do not have this opportunity due to circumstances, or have not passed medical examinations and interviews at the following stages.
