When students are looking for their first job, they face high competition and the need to properly present their experience in their resume. International brand marketer Ksenia Lychagina, in a comment to Izvestia on June 26, told how students without experience can create a resume and increase their chances of employment.

When students are looking for their first job, they often face high competition and the need to stand out from a large number of candidates. At the same time, as Lychagina noted, the lack of official employment does not mean a lack of experience, since participation in projects, part-time work and volunteer activities can demonstrate real skills and results.

The expert explained that employers do not evaluate the fact of participation in projects, but the candidate's specific contribution. According to her, it is important to show what changes have been made to the process or what results have been achieved during the work on the project, even if it lasted several months.

Lychagina emphasized that it is a common mistake for students to list common qualities without specific examples.

"You can write "sociable" and not explain that this does not mean that you are the "soul of the company," but that it means that you were able to negotiate the best terms, get the best price, or even attract some famous person without paying," she said.

She added that many candidates limit themselves to standard job responses, but employers often decide to invite them for an interview already at the stage of reviewing their resumes. In this regard, it is important to adapt cover letters to specific vacancies and explain why the candidate is suitable for this position.

Lychagina added that one of the problems of job seekers is a decrease in the quality of responses during mass applications, so it is important to maintain concentration and structure the job search process.

CEO of the Job search and Employee Recruitment service GdeRabota.ru Ekaterina Agayeva told on April 7 in which areas there will be a steady demand for specialists in the coming years. According to her, engineering and labor specialties will keep their jobs. There is a shortage of specialists in these areas, and in the coming years, most likely, it will not be possible to overcome the shortage of personnel. Robotics specialists will also be in demand.
