Cuba declared mourning over the death of revolutionary Ramiro Valdez

The Cuban authorities declared Tuesday, June 23, a day of mourning in connection with the death of one of the leaders of the Cuban Revolution, Ramiro Valdez Menendez. The text of the relevant decree of the President of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel, is quoted by the Gaceta Official newspaper on June 22.

"To declare official mourning in connection with the death of Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdez Menendez from 6:00 a.m. on June 23 to midnight on the same day (from 13:00 GMT on June 23 to 7:00 GMT on June 24. — Ed.)," says Presidential Decree No. 1247.
