The attacker at the MFC in Krasnodar was helped to detain by a participant in a special operation. This was announced on June 21 by a source of Izvestia.
According to him, the man was on vacation due to injury. It is noted that the attacker had a backpack in which, previously, there were eight knives, as well as five improvised explosive devices.
A day earlier, the mother of one of the girls who witnessed the crime named Oksana shared with Izvestia that her daughter saw a young man pouring some liquid in the building. Another woman added that the attack lasted about half an hour during which screams, clapping and even shooting could be heard.
The attack on the Krasnodar MFC in the West Mall occurred the day before, on June 20. As a result, a woman was killed and five other people were injured. The attacker turned out to be 19-year-old Grigory A. According to him, he attacked people because he planned to kill himself. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case into the incident in accordance with Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder") and Part 3 of Article 30 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder").
