Three Indian-flagged crude oil tankers crossed the Strait of Hormuz

Three Indian-flagged tankers carrying crude oil have successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on June 20 by Sarbananda Sonoval, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways of India.

"Safe passage is secured! Three Indian—flagged tankers with crude oil, Desh Vaibhav, Desh Vibhor and Sanmar Herald, <...> successfully passed the Strait of Hormuz today and are heading towards India," the head of the department wrote, according to a statement in X (former. Twitter).

Sonoval clarified that there are a total of 94 crew members on board the three vessels.

On June 20, the press service of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (AF) reported that navigation in the Strait of Hormuz remains unhindered and is even increasing. The relevant process and the positive dynamics in it, as explained in the department, are supported by the American military.
