In Los Angeles, a state of emergency was introduced due to a warehouse fire, which led to heavy smoke and environmental threats. This was announced on June 20 by the mayor of the city, Karen Bass.

"Although the Los Angeles Fire Department continues to make progress, this is a major incident affecting several departments. I am declaring an emergency so that the city has all the necessary resources to continue the operation and protect residents," she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Bass urged citizens to stay at home if possible, not to open windows and doors, and to use air purifiers. Several shelters have been opened for the affected residents in Los Angeles. There is a distribution of drinking water and food.

ABC Television and Radio Corporation reported on June 18 that a large warehouse fire had occurred in Los Angeles - authorities urged people to find shelter. The fire broke out in a commercial building in the Boyle Heights area. The fire engulfed the solar panels, and a column of black smoke rose into the sky, visible for many kilometers.
