A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Luzhki, Korenek, Kiyanitsa and Yastrebinoye, Sumy region, Staritsa, Pokalyan and Kazachya Lopan, Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), they lost more than 220 militants, 24 vehicles and two artillery pieces.

In addition, the Zapad group of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions, defeated the brigades of the Ukrainian army in the areas of the settlements of Maleevka, Hrushevka, Gusinka, Vasilevka of the Kharkiv region and Yatskovka of the DPR. In the village of Krasny Liman, the assault detachments of the 25th Army continue to advance in urban development.

"Units of the 67th Motorized Rifle Division, advancing in the northwestern part of the Krasny Liman settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic, captured five enemy strongholds and cleared 47 buildings of Ukrainian militants. In the southern part of the city, the destruction of a blockaded group of soldiers of the 120th Air Defense Brigade is being completed. Up to 30 militants were killed during the day. <...> In total, enemy losses in the Zapad group of forces' area of responsibility amounted to more than 220 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated the facilities of the fuel and energy complex and transport infrastructure used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, production workshops and storage sites for long-range drones, temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 154 regions.

In turn, air defense systems shot down 13 guided aerial bombs, two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 740 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 165,827 UAVs, 662 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,844 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,742 multiple rocket launchers, 35,425 field artillery and mortars, 64,526 pieces of special vehicles.
