The via Ferrata "Snake" section was reopened in Sevastopol
The repair of the Via Ferrata Z-E "Snake" section on Mount Ilyas-Kaya has been completed in Sevastopol. Earlier, it was closed due to a major rock collapse, said the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev in his social networks on Friday, June 19.
The popular tourist route is ready to receive visitors. At 255 meters of the route, the equipment was updated and added. Thus, the metal cable, end and intermediate anchors were completely replaced, and new brackets were partially installed.
After the renovation, the length of the Western-Natural section increased from 500 to 565 meters. The total length of all trails in the complex has reached 5 km.
As noted by IA SevastopolMedia, climbing mountain routes is allowed only if accompanied by a guide and using specialized equipment.
