Two people were injured in a fire in the dormitory of the Tuvan State University in Kyzyl, 77 people were evacuated. This was announced on June 19 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic.

"There was a report of a fire in the dormitory of the Tuvan State University on Druzhby Street in the city of Kyzyl. Firefighters who promptly arrived at the scene found heavy smoke in the upper three floors of the building, the source of the fire were two mattresses and an electric extension cord burning with an open flame," the message in the Maks messenger says.

It is specified that the fire was eliminated, and two victims were hospitalized. One of them received a first– to second-degree thermal burn to his hands and right thigh and was sent to the burn unit.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that 22 personnel and 7 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the incident is being established, according to preliminary data, it was caused by an emergency operation of electrical equipment caused by an overload of the power grid.

The governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Andrey Travnikov, said on June 19 that two people were injured in Novosibirsk as a result of a gas explosion in a house. Later it became known that Narodnaya and Bogdan Khmelnitsky streets were blocked to extinguish the fire that arose as a result of the incident. The fire was contained. On the same day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region reported that firefighters had extinguished Gorenje. The fire started in one of the apartments of the apartment building, after which the fire spread to the roof.
