The head of Ukrposhta, Smilyansky, sharply responded to criticism of his salary
On June 16, Igor Smilyansky, the head of the Ukrainian state-owned Ukrposhta, sharply reacted to criticism from Ukrainian citizens who were dissatisfied with the size of his salary.
"These are the assholes who are shouting about my salary, so they pay less taxes," he said in an interview with YouTube channel Apostrophe TV.
According to Smilyansky, such claims are made by people who, in his opinion, contribute less to the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" added that the salary of the head of Ukrposhta is about 970 thousand hryvnias per month (about €15 thousand).
On December 2, 2025, Public Television reported that President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky allegedly lives on a salary of 28 thousand hryvnias (about 50 thousand rubles) and savings from business projects. It was noted that the official salary of the head of the Kiev regime is allegedly two times lower than the average salary of Ukrainian officials.
