The ability to register a car in multifunctional centers (MFCs) should be scaled up to branches throughout Russia. This initiative was made by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, who prepared a letter addressed to Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Minister of Digital Development Maksut Shadaev, TASS reported on June 17.

As an example, Nilov cited the experience of the city of Shakhty (Rostov region), where the MFC and the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs organized the provision of vehicle registration services on a single site.

Thanks to the "one-stop shop" principle, citizens will be able to promptly register their car, pass a technical inspection, apply for a CTP policy and pay state duties on the spot. This should save applicants time and reduce the level of bureaucratic burden, the parliamentarian believes.

Now a Russian citizen can register a car in any region, regardless of his place of residence in the offices of the State Traffic Inspectorate. The service is also available in some MFCs, including some flagship public service centers in Moscow.

On June 9, LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky proposed to cancel fines for drivers who forgot their driver's license, vehicle registration certificate or CTP policy. He sent a corresponding appeal to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev. The measures are not expected to be applied if the citizen is able to confirm that he has the required papers in electronic databases.
